This post was mainly for the benefit of sonic23 in respect of a website review, but with thought we can use this to benefit sonic23 as well as our new and existing members.

In time and with more thread replies we can develop this into an seo quick referral guide.

Keywords

A good place to start on your keywords is ........ drum roll ...... right here.

Add a few posts with your link. But make sure you target your links with good clean Anchor Text. Anchor Text is the text you use to describe your site in a few words. Such as this:
Free Hits

Free hits is set as the anchor text and it is linked to trafficracer.com. Now the search engine will associate the keywords: "Free HIts" with the domain trafficracer.com. If you do this enough times you can increase that particular anchor text phrase in google.

Not sure which to target?

Ask yourself: How do visitors find my website?

If you do not have the advantage of a service like Statcounter or Hit Tail then you will need to give careful thought to your overall websites theme.

Then after consideration, try choosing 4 or 5 keywords to target.

Write your content based upon these keywords.

Sign up to a service like Statcounter, you will then be able track how visitors have arrived at your website, along with other useful info.

More than likely your visitors will give you an indication of the keywords.

If you are still unsure then you may want to take advantages of the services Wordtracker offers.

Link Building

Next you will need a link buliding campaign.

You already have a few links to other realted sites of importance, next you need to post more "related links", then get in contact with as many of your competitors within the first 3 or 4 pages of Google using your keyword phrase.

When you get in touch with other websites politely ask them for a reciprocal link back to your website, do not forget to include the code you would like them to use.

Start submitting to as many high PR (PageRank) directories as you can, the best directories to start with would be DMOZ and the Yahoo Directory, even if you are not immediately listed within those (wait at least a month), carry on submitting to other directories, contributing to forums, start or contniue to use your blog, above all else keep adding content.

Keep on writing related fresh content. (<------ how easy was that to think about )

There is much more to be said about SEO than this brief topic, so over time I will amend and add to this post to reflect this.
